Some cars are blocked in the RTA system for registration renewal because of a recall campaign by the dealership. Certain makes and models diagnosed with any manufacturing defect considered dangerous for the safety of the driver and passenger can be recalled globally.
If you are not able to renew your registration due to this, follow these steps:
1. Visit Your Dealership or Any Authorized Agency
Inform them that your car is blocked in the RTA system due to a recall complaint.
2. Recall Repair
The dealership will fix the issue without any charges, regardless of the defect.
3. RTA Unblock
Once the repair is complete and you have your car back, the dealership will communicate with the RTA. The RTA will then unblock your vehicle.
4. Renew Your Registration
After the RTA has unblocked your vehicle, you can proceed with the registration renewal as usual.
